An incredible view of 9,175-foot Broken Top (left), 10,358-foot South Sister
(right) and the Green Lakes (center) from 30,000 feet in a Las Vegas-bound
jet. The day after climbing Broken Top, I was fortunate enough to fly
over the Central Oregon Cascades on the way to Nevada and snapped this unique
photo. The BT climbing route leaves from Green Lakes and heads up to the
saddle between the mountain and the large ridge just below the lakes (in this
photo). The route then heads straight up the NW Ridge, which is just to
the right of the Summit.
