A great look at the Southeast Side climbing routes on Middle Sister from the 10,358-foot South Sister summit.  The three routes on the photo show the preferred route (blue) and the two routes (green and yellow) we actually took in the cloudy conditions.  After hiking 7-3/4 miles from Pole Creek Springs Campground to Camp Lake (shown bottom right), you begin to ascend the actual mountain.  Without clouds, the 10,047-foot summit provides a bird's eye view of neighboring North and South Sisters, the many Cascade Range volcanoes and the beautiful Chambers Lakes.
