"Glissading":
A controlled, sitting position slide down a mountain using a slick surface - like rain pants or a plastic bag - to help gain speed.

The slide is usually on a slightly steep slope with minimal rocks in order to avoid injury and the speed is controlled using the tip of an ice axe for drag.

Glissading is very fun and, properly done, can significantly reduce the time of a mountain descent.
