A great look at the ruddy and rounded mountain known as South Sister.  The hiking trail (foreground) winds up the loose rock and scree from this point at 6,900 feet to the summit at 10,358 feet.  This photo was taken during my descent, as it was dark during the ascent. August 11, 2001   Close Window
