Still beautiful, even after losing 1,300 feet from its summit in the 1980 eruption, a snow-dusted Mount St. Helens towers over the wooded landscape to the south of the mountain.  The Monitor Ridge climbing route is in the center of the photo and the 8,365 foot summit is at the left of the flattened top of the mountain.
