The very active volcano Mount St Helens and its much larger sister Mount Rainier
(directly to the left of the turtle-shaped St. Helens) are quite visible from much
of Portland. Council Crest, a Native American spirtual site about 1,000 feet
above the city, provides views of four Cascade Range mountains, including St.
Helens, Rainier, Adams and Hood.
