While on a training trip to Irving, Texas, a business colleague and I took a cab from Irving to downtown Dallas.  We wandered around for a while, trying to find Dealey Plaza - the site of the Kennedy Assassination - but found the local signs vague and confusing.  It seems the people of Dallas did not want much publicity regarding the 1963 event, even 35 years later.  We eventually found the Plaza and, since it had rained much of the afternoon, the place was virtually deserted.  That provided an unique opportunity to explore the historical area without obstruction.  Check out the pictures below by clicking on the thumbnails.  I especially recommend looking at the Picket Fence shot, where I believe that another assassin fired the deadly "head shot".  I had very eerie feelings while standing on the places where history was made on November 22, 1963.  I think everyone should visit there once.
